Overview
Design & Estimation Engineer - MEP
Aala Tech is a leading engineering and technology company specializing in ELV, ICT, structured cabling, MEP, data center infrastructure, and smart building systems. With operations across the GCC and South Asia, we deliver tailored, cutting-edge solutions to clients in commercial, industrial, and governmental sectors.
We are now expanding our engineering team in Lahore and are looking for a talented and motivated Design and Estimation Engineer – MEP to support our regional and international projects.
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP works (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
- Prepare design layouts, schematic drawings, and technical submittals for tender and project purposes
- Analyze and compare vendor quotations and material submittals to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather relevant data for costing
- Participate in value engineering, budget planning, and project scheduling support
- Assist in proposal preparation and technical documentation for tenders
- Provide post-tender clarifications and technical support to the sales and execution teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP design and estimation (experience with GCC projects is a plus)
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and project estimation principles
- Good analytical and technical writing skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Must be based in Lahore or willing to relocate
